About Historic Sites of Trenton

Located in Trenton's South Ward, known as 'Lamberton', the Red Tavern, later known as the Delaware Inn, was among the most popular stop offs for raft-men carrying timber down the Delaware.

Historic Sites of Trenton is a website that was generated through the collaborative efforts of students from The College of New Jersey’s IDS:370 – Community Mapping class, Shiloh CDC, Trenton Historical Society and Trenton Downtown Association in Fall 2011. This website features an interactive map of Historic Sites within Trenton, while elaborating on the cultural relevance of such sites to the communities that have lived and currently live in Trenton.

Our goal is for this website to become an open forum for members of the Trenton Community, as well as Faculty and students from TCNJ engaged in scholarly research to post and contribute to the continuing effort to establish Trenton’s History.
